  • The Youth Career Initiative
  • The Youth Career Initiative engages international hotels to provide a five to six month education programme for high school graduates from disadvantaged backgrounds. The programme empowers young people with life and employment skills so that they may have opportunities and choices in their lives. Youth Career Initiative programmes are conducted by hotel management teams and combine both theory and practical instruction. The programme includes instruction in personal finance, interpersonal skills, and personal health and wellbeing.

Brazil

  • Brazilian Programme Against the Sexual Exploitation of Children in Tourism
  • The Brazilian Tourist Board (Instituto Brasileiro de Turismo - EMBRATUR), in the fulfillment of its attributions, has been working in several projects, events, and campaigns, along recent years, with the main objective of fighting against the sexual exploitation of children and young persons in tourism. Also, dissociating the image of Brazil as an exclusively "sun and sea" touristic destination, through the national and international fomentation and promotion of different segments of tourism, aiming at attracting a more conscientious touristic demand.
